AP Implementation

Context

Fourth section of AIF Apps implementation (DR02 task 5.4): build Assortment Planning on the data exported in Send data to PDS tables, load the direct files, run the first weekly batch and apply the P&C configuration. AP is built the same way as MFP — the shared steps live in their own notes.

Steps

1. Build the application — OAT Build Application with the GA configuration and postbuild_rdx. See Planning Application Build.
2. Direct file loads — create the seven AP files and upload them to planning/apcs/incoming/input, then run the Load Hierarchies task group. See AP.
3. PDS integration variables — base currency EUR, SATR_GROUP = Y. See Set PDS Integration Variables.
4. Run the weekly batch — Tasks > Administration > Online Admin Tools > Submit An Admin Task > Configured Batch Tasks > Run Batch Task Group, choose Weekly Batch, submit.
5. Review parameters — item lifecycle attributes and integration switches. See AP Planning Administration parameters.
6. Prepare the options forecast — load the product attribute files into AIF Apps. See AP Options Forecast files.
