IPO Implementation

Context

Sixth section of AIF Apps implementation (DR02 task IPO Implementation): load the replenishment interfaces and the lifecycle calendar Inventory Planning Optimization needs, then configure and run the first optimisation. The IO_* configuration keys are in IPO.

Quick access

Load the IPO interfaces

  1. Create the POM processes that the Manage Data Upload screen needs — one custom standalone process per replenishment job on the AIF DATA scheduler. See IPO custom POM processes for Manage Data Upload.
  2. Populate the IPO tables with the files prepared by the customer: AI FOUNDATION CLOUD SERVICE > Tasks > Control and Tactical Center > Manage Data Upload. Upload each file, run the validation, then commit.
  3. Load the lifecycle calendar — rse_life_cycle_calendar_stg.txt through INPUT_FILES_ADHOC_PROCESS and RSE_MASTER_ADHOC_JOB --life_cycle_cal. See Load LifeCycle Calendar.

Forecast configuration

In the IPO user interface:

  1. Create the run and start the aggregations.
  2. Create the run type. The plan estimates this as a processing-time item, not a quick setting.

Run the optimisation

  1. Create the IPO business rules.
  2. POM > AIF APPS > Standalone > run IO_MASTER_ADHOC_PROCESS with parameter -A (process all steps). Navigation in How to run a POM standalone job.
  3. Create the IPO run.
  4. Generate the IPO recommendations.
