Upload input files to AIF Apps

Context

How flat files reach the AIF Apps staging tables. Any set of .txt stage files is zipped as ORASE_WEEKLY_ADHOC.zip, uploaded to the ris/incoming FTS folder, and unpacked by the INPUT_FILES_ADHOC_PROCESS standalone job; a second, interface-specific process then loads the staged files. Used by AP Options Forecast files and Load LifeCycle Calendar; Build the LPO application walks the same mechanism inline for the season and price-ladder files — the calling note says which files to put in the zip and which load process to run afterwards.

The upload uses the P&C FTS helper puc_fts_files.sh (client script, outside this vault); UAT1 is the environment.

Steps

  1. Generate the stage files named by the calling note.
  2. Zip them as ORASE_WEEKLY_ADHOC.zip (files at the root of the archive).
  3. Upload the zip to ris/incoming:

  1. POM > Tasks > Batch Monitoring > AIF APPS > Standalone > run INPUT_FILES_ADHOC_PROCESS (navigation in How to run a POM standalone job). It unzips the archive and places the files for loading.
  2. Run the load process given by the calling note (for example RSE_PROD_ATTR_LOAD_ADHOC_PROCESS), then the RSE_MASTER_ADHOC_PROCESS flag that moves the staged data into the target tables.
